The winter break proved to be a challenging period for the Le Grand High School girls soccer team as they engaged in a series of five games, unfortunately, ending up on the losing side in all of them. Despite the setbacks, the team displayed resilience and determination, with some notable moments that showcased the spirit of the players.

The first game during the winter break saw Le Grand facing Orestimba, where they encountered a formidable opponent that secured a convincing 10-0 victory. It was a tough start for the team, but they maintained their commitment throughout the match. The girls faced a similar outcome in their subsequent game against Delhi, where they lost 6-0. Despite the scoreline, the team continued to fight and demonstrated commendable teamwork on the field. Dos Palos was the next challenge for Le Grand, resulting in a 5-0 loss. The team's defense faced a rigorous test, and although they conceded goals, the players remained resilient.

On Wednesday, October 4th, four incredible games took place for Homecoming Powderpuff.

The first two games took place during the end of the school day.
First being the Senior and Sophomore game. It was a close game and the Sophomores took the winning point near the end of the game with a score of 2-3. The first touchdown of Powderpuff coming from Senior Yessenia M.
The second game began with the Juniors against the Freshmen. A complete wipeout with Juniors taking a 4-1 win against the Freshmen. Junior Dayannara N. played as a runnerback for the Juniors. She acknowledged Athena H. as an MVP with her incredible plays and the entire team being very aggressive on the field. With that, the games of the school day concluded and the second two games would play later that night on the field.

In a thrilling showdown between long-time rivals, the Le Grand Bulldogs clashed with the Mariposa Grizzlies in a high-stakes battle that had fans on the edge of their seats. The Bulldogs, known for their tenacity and skill, received the ball with high hopes, but the Grizzlies' defense proved to be a formidable opponent, denying them the first try. However, the Bulldogs' defense was equally unyielding, holding the Grizzlies to a respectable 20 points throughout the game with Esteban Lua having two interceptions and Nathan Garcia recovering a fumble.
