On Friday night in Denair, the Le Grand Bulldogs showed flashes of inspiration and grit against the Coyotes, but ultimately fell 21–49 in a hard-fought contest. The game played Friday, Oct. 3, 2025 was a study in momentum swings: Le Grand won the toss and received, showing flashes of big-play offense, but Denair’s explosive attack and late-game control carried the night.

From the opening kick, the Bulldogs made it known they would not back down. After winning the toss, Le Grand chose to receive. Captains Diego, Juan, Jaime, and Blake. In their first possession, the offense struck quickly: Blake L. hauled in a 54-yard reception that flipped field position and energized the sidelines and put Denair on its heels. On that drive, Diego found the end zone, and the extra point by Angel gave Le Grand a 7–0 lead.

In the second quarter, Le Grand again capitalized on momentum. Blake broke free for a touchdown, and Angel’s point-after made it 14–0. At that moment, the Bulldogs were in rhythm, Le Grand’s offense again flashed in the second quarter and looked to keep the game within reach going into halftime. But Denair answered with a sustained, high-octane response — the Coyotes began to peel away with big plays of their own and a special-teams sequence that swung momentum. By the third quarter the coyotes poured it on, scoring 14 unanswered points while Le Grand’s offense stalled. Denair’s night included multiple long touchdowns and a balanced attack that wore down the Bulldog defense.

In the final quarter, Le Grand refused to go quietly. Diego powered in another touchdown, and Angel added the final 7 points for the Bulldogs. That score brought their total to 21, reflecting the resilience and ability to finish drives when opportunities presented themselves.

By the final whistle the scoreboard told the story: Denair 49, Le Grand 21. The Bulldogs showed heart — big plays from Blake, two touchdowns from Diego, and reliable kicking from Angel but the Coyotes’ depth, trickery and big-play ability took over.

The Bulldogs will look to turn this experience into growth. They host Stone Ridge Christian next Friday, hoping to ride the same energy that led to those early touchdowns. With leaders like Diego, Blake, Angel and others showing up on big stages, Le Grand’s potential remains evident.
